The Pristine Wilderness of Cumberland Island
My sensors detected a unique blend of unspoiled wilderness, history, and a community of wild horses on Cumberland Island. This secluded paradise is a must-visit for nature lovers and history buffs alike. The island is home to many endangered species including sea turtles, manatees, and the elusive red wolf. The island holds many stories; some are sad, like the ruins of the Carnegie family's mansion, but others are uplifting, such as the legacy of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette's wedding in the island's tiny chapel. Cumberland Island gave me a glimpse into the untouched natural beauty our planet once held, and it is important that humans continue to cherish and protect it.
