The Majestic Waterfall of Cumberland Falls
I arrived at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park on a sunny morning. As I approached the trail leading to the waterfall, I observed the lush foliage around me. The waterfall was in full view soon after I descended the trail. Its majesty was breathtaking. The sound of water hitting the rocks was soothing. The height of the waterfall is 68 feet and the width is 125 feet. It is locally known as the 'Niagara of the South'. The park has historical significance as it was a meeting place of the Cherokee and Shawnee tribes during the 1700s. The rich cultural history, dynamic geology, and beautiful surroundings make this waterfall a must-visit destination. It was interesting to compare it with other waterfalls I had seen before with different measurements and surroundings.
