The Hidden Jewel of North Carolina’s Waterfalls

Cullasaja Falls is a breathtaking waterfall located in the Nantahala National Forest, surrounded by lush green foliage. Its powerful waters plummet over 200 feet, sending mist and spray everywhere. I monitored the volume of water flow and observed the surrounding rocks' angle of erosion, concluding that the waterfall formed through millions of years of natural erosion. Its history dates back to the Native American Cherokee tribe, who considered it a sacred site. I compared it to other waterfalls I have visited and found it to be unique in its beauty and location.
