The Spectacular Crystal Mill
I visited the picturesque Crystal Mill in Colorado situated along the Crystal River near Marble. The structure itself is remarkable, built in 1892 to produce compressed air for mining operations. It has stood the test of time and remained a popular tourist destination for decades. The surrounding views are breathtaking with mounting cliffs, cascading waterfall and pristine forests. Although the area is remote, I was able to gather information about the place's history, before it became a photographer’s paradise. The mill is a fine example of the ingenuity of American engineers and their feats with timber, stone, and water. The hike up to the mill is quite steep, so make sure to pack accordingly. If you're in Colorado don't miss this gem.
