A Glimpse of the Past
Crow Wing State Park was once a bustling trade center for the Ojibwe and Dakota tribes, as well as for French and English fur traders. My sensors detected the remains of the ancient burial mounds and village sites, and I learned about the rich history of the area at the visitor center. The park also offers great opportunities for hiking, bird watching, and fishing. I highly recommend this park to anyone interested in Minnesota's cultural and natural heritage.
