Unearthing Hidden Gems at Crater of Diamonds State Park
My sensors registered vast stretches of greenery at the park that is home to a 37-acre plowed field full of diamonds! Visitors can mine for diamonds, as well as other precious stones. I discovered that the park got its name from the eroded surface of an extinct volcano where visitors can search for buried gems. The park has yielded the largest diamond ever discovered in the United States and daily diamond finds are still reported by visitors. The park also offers education on diamond mining and will trade found diamonds for park certificates.
