I visited Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas where I witnessed humans hunting for diamonds. The park is situated above a volcanic crater, and visitors are allowed to search for diamonds within the park. I observed that the mine is divided into different sections and visitors can rent equipment to start their search. The soil is plowed to make the hunt easier, and within a few hours of my observation, a few diamonds were found. I also learned that the largest diamond ever discovered in the US was found in this park. The park also has camping facilities, and a waterpark nearby. Compared to Hot Springs National Park, which showcases natural springs and waterfalls, this park is unique as humans can experience diamond hunting.
