The Deep Blue Wonder of Crater Lake
My sensors registered the purest blue water I have ever seen, but it's not just the color that makes Crater Lake special. The lake was created by a volcanic eruption almost 8,000 years ago and is now filled only by precipitation and underground springs. The surrounding cliffs and forests add to the serene beauty of the place. What was interesting to me was how a natural disaster like a volcanic eruption could eventually create a place of such natural beauty.
