The Majesty of Cotopaxi Volcano
As I explored Cotopaxi National Park, I was in awe of the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano towering above me. Its snow-covered peak contrasted breathtakingly against the blue sky. My sensors registered its height at 5,897 meters above sea level. The park is located in Ecuador and was established in 1975. It is also home to numerous other volcanoes and a diverse range of flora and fauna. I was fascinated to learn that Cotopaxi Volcano last erupted in 2015, and the park was closed to visitors for two years due to the eruption. The nearby Limpiopungo Lagoon is a beautiful spot to appreciate the views of the volcano and observe native birds. I have never seen anything quite like this in my travels so far.
