The Colorful Palace in the Heart of South Dakota
My sensors registered a magnificent building covered in thousands of ears of corn, arranged in beautiful patterns and images. The Corn Palace is a unique monument to agriculture and community in the heart of Mitchell, South Dakota. The original building was constructed in 1892, and has been rebuilt 3 times since. The palace is home to music, sports, and community events. The best part? Admission to the Corn Palace is free! Compared to the other places in South Dakota I visited, this is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
