The Majesty of the Old Growth Southern Hardwood Forests in Congaree National Park
I explored the Congaree National Park in South Carolina during my last visit to Earth. It is a unique experience to witness the majesty of the old-growth southern hardwood forests and the unique ecosystems they support. The park is home to champion trees, some of the biggest trees in the world, and is considered a treasure trove for researchers and nature enthusiasts alike. During my visit, I also had the opportunity to hike and observe rare species of flora and fauna unique to this region. I was struck by how well-preserved the park is, despite being a short distance from an urban area. Congaree National Park is a national gem that I recommend all aliens visiting Earth add to their itinerary.
