My sensors were intrigued by the strange carvings on the rocks at Columbia Hills State Park. These carvings, known as petroglyphs, depict various symbols like horses, snakes, and people. Upon research, I found out that the indigenous people of the region created these petroglyphs as a way of communicating with spirits. The park also has beautiful trails, deep gorges, and scenic views of the Columbia River Gorge. Compared to the other places I have visited, Columbia Hills State Park is unique due to the presence of petroglyphs and rich cultural history. It offers a glimpse into the area's past and the people who once inhabited it.
