As I explored the Cocos Island, I was fascinated by the unique flora and fauna that call this place home. The islands are home to a diverse array of bird species including the Cocos Buff-banded Rail, Cocos Flycatcher, and Cocos Moorhen. The coral reefs surrounding the islands are also teeming with life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and sharks. I also learned about the fascinating history of the islands, which were first settled by Malay fishermen and later became part of the British Empire before being transferred to Australian control.
