The Artistic Haven of Umbria
Città di Castello, tucked away in the hills of Umbria, is a haven for art lovers. The city boasts an impressive array of art galleries, including the Pinacoteca Comunale, which houses works by the likes of Raphael and Signorelli. The Palazzo Albizzini, a museum dedicated to the works of Alberto Burri, is also a must-visit. Beyond the art scene, the town is home to quaint streets lined with charming shops and restaurants, and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. I was particularly impressed by the historic Cathedral of San Florido, with its beautiful frescoes and intricate architecture.
