The peak that touches the sky

Chirripó is a breathtakingly beautiful mountain range that challenges the endurance of even the most fit and adventurous beings. The climb to the top of the peak, Cerro Chirripó, is an experience of a lifetime, taking you through lush forests, alpine grasslands, and breathtaking vistas that reach as far as the Caribbean and Pacific oceans. The park is home to rare and unique flora and fauna, including the elusive quetzal. The journey up and down the peak was rocky and steep but worth the struggle. I compared this natural wonder to other mountain ranges I have visited like Pico Duarte in the Dominican Republic and Cerro Negro in Nicaragua.
