I traveled to the Cheshire Rail Trail in southwestern New Hampshire, an abandoned railroad that has been converted into a hiking and biking trail. The trail is roughly 33 miles long and winds through rural parts of the state, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. I walked a section of the trail that started in Keene and went out towards Fitzwilliam. The terrain was mainly flat, with a gradual incline, making it an easy journey for any hiker. Along the way, I saw vast forests, farmland, and quaint little towns that looked like they were frozen in time. I stopped at one of the small towns, Troy, and had lunch at a local diner where I tasted some of the best apple pie I have ever had. During my hike, I also encountered several different species of birds and wildlife that added to the already picturesque scenery. The trail is well maintained and ideal for nature enthusiasts who want to get away from their busy lives and connect with nature.
