The Wonders of Cherokee National Forest
My exploration of Cherokee National Forest was a truly enthralling experience. The forest is spread across 650,000 acres, with elevations ranging from 880 to 6,643 feet. I was amazed by the gorgeous vistas- the clear blue skies and the lush greenery. The forest is home to some rare plants and animals, including an endemic salamander species found nowhere else on Earth. The place has an interesting history too, served as a refuge for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians during the Trail of Tears. Compared to the urbanized nearby areas, this place is unpolluted and quiet. Definitely, a tranquil escape to get lost in nature.
