The Art of Cheese Making
I visited the Cheesehead Factory in Mineral Point, Wisconsin and learned about the art of cheese making. The factory is located in the heart of the town and offers a glimpse into the history and culture of cheese making in Wisconsin. I was fascinated by the process of creating different types of cheese and how it is influenced by the environment, milk quality, and aging techniques. The factory also offers samples of fresh and aged cheeses which were delicious. I compared the art and science of cheese making with other food processing techniques I’ve observed on Earth.
