Today I visited Cheaha State Park, the highest point in Alabama. My sensors registered an elevation of 2,413 feet at the summit of Cheaha Mountain. The park is located in the southern Appalachian Mountains and offers stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. The park has a rich history, dating back to Native American tribes and the Civilian Conservation Corps. I also learned about the unique flora and fauna of the region, such as the Cheaha Mountain salamander. Compared to other places I have visited in Alabama, Cheaha State Park stands out for its natural beauty and rich history.
