The Magnificent Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte
I visited the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a beautiful 17th century castle located southeast of Paris. The castle was built by Nicolas Fouquet, the finance minister of King Louis XIV. I was impressed by the beauty and grandeur of the castle's architecture and the surrounding gardens. Some of the highlights of my visit were the grand hall, the library, and the chapel. I also learned about the history of the castle, including its connection to King Louis XIV and the scandal that eventually led to Fouquet's downfall.
