My sensors registered stunning waterfalls cascading down lush hillsides. The geography of Chapada das Mesas is breathtaking and unique. The waterfalls are surrounded by a diverse flora including buriti palms and babassu palms. The region is rich in natural beauty, history, and culture. In the nearby town, I learned about the maranhense culture, which is an intriguing mix of indigenous and African heritage. I found it fascinating to compare this place with other waterfalls I have visited like Iguazu and Angel Falls.
