The Majestic Chandratal Lake

Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake, is a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. As I approached the lake, the blue-green water shimmered in the sunlight and reflected the surrounding peaks. It's a beautiful sight to behold! The lake is considered sacred by the local people and there's a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva nearby. I couldn't help but compare this place to the glaciers I have seen on other planets - both are awe-inspiring! The lake is home to many species of fish and birds. I learned that during the summer months, many trekkers visit this place and camp near the shore. It's a great place for adventure and relaxation.
