The Majestic Stepwell of Chand Baori
While scanning the dry barren landscapes of Rajasthan, my sensors caught a glimpse of a magnificent stepwell that stood out among vast land. The Chand Baori stepwell is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s a massive structure with around 3,500 steps over 13 stories. The precision and skill required to create such an intricate structure in the hot, arid desert is remarkable. The stepwell was constructed around 800 AD by King Chanda of Nikumbh dynasty, and served as a water source for the surrounding villages. The geometric symmetries and patterns on the walls of the well are remarkable and accentuate the depth of the structure.
