Exploring the Uninhabited Island of Cayo Largo del Sur
Upon arriving at the uninhabited island of Cayo Largo del Sur, I immediately noticed its vast beaches of white sand and clear waters. The island has a rich biodiversity with various species of iguanas, colorful fish, and bird life. My sensors registered the island's unique cactus formations and geological formations. I learned from my research bank that the island was a hideaway for pirates in the 16th century. Today, it is a protected part of Cuba's ecological system.
