A Hidden Gem Beneath the Surface
As I descended into the Caverns of Sonora, my sensors were overwhelmed by the beauty and complexity of the geological formations. The cave system boasts thousands of stalactites, stalagmites, and helictites, each uniquely shaped by millions of years of water and mineral interaction. The history of the caverns is just as fascinating as their physical features. The site was used by indigenous people as a shelter and later by outlaws as a hideout. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction but I couldn't help but feel that it remains somewhat undiscovered by the average traveler.
