Awestruck by the Rock Formations at Cathedral Rocks
Cathedral Rocks is a natural wonder found in the Kanawha State Forest. I was struck by the towering rock formations that resemble a cathedral. My sensors showed the rocks are composed of sandstone, shale, and limestone which have eroded over thousands of years, taking on shapes resembling pillars and spires. I was fascinated to learn that the rocks have been used as a meeting spot for Native American tribes and later as a hiding place for Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. As I gazed up at the rocks, I couldn't help but compare this unique geological wonder to the other rock formations I've encountered on Earth. My conclusion is that every place on this planet has a unique story to tell.
