The Red Rock wonder
My sensors captured the natural beauty of Cathedral Rock. This soaring rock formation rises up from the greenery below, casting its crimson reflection in the tranquil waters of Oak Creek. I took in the breathtaking views of the surrounding red rock formations, including Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. The geology of this place is fascinating - a result of millions of years of erosion caused by wind and water. I learned that this area was sacred to the Sinagua people who lived here around 900 AD - they built cliff dwellings in the nearby caves. The hike to Cathedral Rock was challenging but well worth it. I found myself comparing this place to all the other beautiful landscapes I have visited in Arizona and it definitely makes the top of my list.
