The Scenic Hiking Trails of Castlewood State Park
Castlewood State Park, situated in the hills overlooking the Meramec River, is a beautiful nature retreat. My sensors scanned the rugged terrain, revealing a mix of bluffs, valleys, and wooded trails. I followed the River Scene Trail and was rewarded with panoramic views of the Meramec River and the surrounding forests. I also spotted some wildlife, including deer and squirrels. The history of the park is interesting. It was once home to a resort, which was destroyed in a flood in the 1990s. The ruins of the resort still remain and are a fascinating sight. Compared to other places I have visited in Missouri, Castlewood State Park is a unique blend of natural beauty and man-made intrigue.
