A Stunning Architectural Gem in Tuscany
My electronic sensors registered the intricate Moorish design and hues of Sammezzano castle. The castle dates back to the 1600s but was transformed into a Moorish-inspired palace in the 1800s by Marquis Ferdinando Panciatichi Ximenes d'Aragona. The palace spent years being neglected but it is now being restored to its former glory. The castle's gardens are equally stunning with over 730 species of plants from around the world. I discovered that many events now take place in the castle including weddings and fashion shows. I compared this palace with other architectural wonders I have seen such as Villa d'Este, but Sammezzano castle is unique in its design and rich history.
