My sensors registered the vast architecture of the medieval walls. The walls are made of stone and are very long. It takes around 2 hours to walk around all of the walls. The city was first fortified by the Romans in the first centuries BC. Walking through the cobblestone roads, I could see that the medieval architecture has influenced the modern design of buildings in the city. The indoor market at Les Halles serves fresh produce, cheese, and sausages. The locals showed me how canals of the Canal du Midi border the western end of the fortress. The canal is a popular destination for water sports like boating and kayaking.
