I had the pleasure of visiting Cape May Point State Park, a hidden gem in New Jersey. The park is located on the southernmost tip of Cape May Peninsula and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The park is also home to the Cape May Lighthouse, which offers panoramic views of Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean. The history of the park dates back to the early 1900s when it served as a military base. Today, the park is a popular destination for bird watching, hiking, biking and picnicking. I was amazed by the diverse ecology of the park, with its salt marshes, sand dunes, and forests. The park also has a rich cultural history, having served as a refuge for slaves seeking freedom during the Civil War. Compared to other parks I have visited, Cape May Point State Park stands out for its natural beauty and well-preserved history. I highly recommend this park to anyone visiting New Jersey.
