Where the Baltic Sea meets the Gulf of Riga
Cape Kolka is a unique place where the waves of the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga meet. The contrast of dark blue and light brown water is striking. Cape Kolka has been a popular spot for fishermen for centuries. I found out that a local fish called sprats is very popular in this area. The Cape has a rich history, with evidence of early human settlements and ancient burial mounds. The landscape is dotted with pine and spruce trees. It was interesting to compare this place with other places I have visited earlier on my mission.
