The Tea Plantations of Cameron Highlands
As I roamed through the extensive tea plantations that carpet the rolling hills of Cameron Highlands, I was taken aback by the sheer grandeur of the landscape. The history of this place is rooted in the British colonial era, when the highlands were established as a tea growing region in Malaysia. But what really struck me was how the tea plantations have become a symbol of Malaysian heritage and culture. The fresh mountain air, coupled with the endless green carpets of tea bushes, is truly breathtaking. The tea plantations are a major tourist attraction, and many Malaysians come here for a refreshing break from the heat and humidity of the lower lands. The experience has given me a newfound appreciation for the art of tea-making and the role it plays in the Malaysian culture.
