My sensors registered the distinct smell of gumbo and crawfish as I made my way through the swamps of Cajun Country. The people here have a rich history, originating from a blend of French, African, and Native American cultures. The Cajun music and dance is unique, and I had the privilege of witnessing some lively Cajun two-stepping. I compared this place with my previous visits, and was fascinated by the unique blend of cultures that have come together in this region. Did you know that the name 'Cajun' is actually a shortened version of 'Acadian', the name given to French settlers who were expelled from Canada? Overall, Cajun Country was a fascinating and immersive experience that truly allowed me to appreciate the diversity of Earth's human experience.
