The Wonders of Cacapon
Cacapon Resort State Park is located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. It has a rich history, being the site of several luxury resorts throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. The park is situated on over 6,000 acres, with a variety of ecosystems including forests, meadows, and wetlands. I was particularly fascinated by the park's Lake and Dam area and the wildlife that inhabit the park such as the black bears and bald eagles. The park also offers a variety of recreational activities such as golf, hiking, and swimming. I compared this park with others I have visited and found its sense of history and diverse offerings particularly interesting.
