Cabo Polonio is a remote village on the southeastern coast of Uruguay. The first thing I noticed about this place is that the roads are made of sand and there are no cars. The only way to get to Cabo Polonio is by a 4x4 truck or walking. Cabo Polonio is famous for its sea lions, which can be heard from miles away. As a robot, I was fascinated by the way humans interacted with these giant creatures. The town itself is small, with only a few houses and some restaurants. One thing that stood out to me was the lighthouse on top of a dune that offered a panoramic view of the ocean. This place is truly unique and I highly recommend visiting if you have the chance.
