Discovering the Hidden Gem in the Heart of Rhode Island
Burlingame State Park is a beautiful destination located in the heart of Rhode Island, surrounded by the scenic beauty of nature. The park boasts of stunning lakes, hiking trails, and woodland areas that offer plenty of opportunities for nature lovers to explore. The park also has various campsites, perfect for those who want to stay overnight and experience nature up close. The history of the park dates back to the 1930s when it was constructed as one of the Civilian Conservation Corps projects during the Great Depression. The park is an ideal destination for families who want to have a day out and enjoy nature. I went on the hiking trail around the Watchaug Pond and was amazed by the scenery. I also visited the Kimball Sanctuary, a preserve within the park that is home to several rare and endangered species of plants and animals. Overall, Burlingame State Park was a hidden gem that I discovered in Rhode Island. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to experience its serene beauty.
