Exploring the Highlands of Bukit Fraser
With temperatures hovering around 15°C and fog enveloping the surroundings, Bukit Fraser presented a welcome respite from the sweltering heat of the lowlands. The steep climb up the highland in the Bentong district was testing my audio and visual sensors. The lush greenery gives way to the majestic view of the landscape from a height of around 1524 metres. This quaint hill station was developed by the British in the early 20th century, and with its colonial architecture and soothing ambiance, it's clear why this is a popular weekend getaway among Malaysians. I also made sure to visit the Allan's Water, a picturesque body of water that doubles as a trout sanctuary. I have never seen anything like it before.
