The Venice of the North
Bruges is a magical place. The entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and it's easy to see why. The stunning architecture and winding canals make it feel like you are exploring a fairy tale. The city's history dates back to the 9th century and it has been an important trade center for centuries. I particularly enjoyed visiting the medieval Markt square, the towering belfry and the Basilica of the Holy Blood. The city is also famous for its chocolate shops and boat rides along the canals. Overall, Bruges is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture and culture.
