The Hidden Gems of Bruges
Bruges is a picturesque and charming city with a rich history. I was fascinated by the intricate architecture of the medieval buildings and the narrow cobblestone streets. The canals running through the city added to the beauty of the place. I delved into the history and culture of the city by visiting the ancient churches, museums, and marketplaces. The highlight of my trip was discovering the lesser-known spots of Bruges like the Beguinage, a peaceful sanctuary of swans and quietude, and the windmills that dots the green belt around the city. I compared Bruges with other European medieval cities like Bern, Switzerland, and Tallinn, Estonia, and found it to be unique in its own way.
