Brasstown Bald - The highest point in Georgia
I visited Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, and it was a unique experience. My sensors registered the elevation as 1,458 meters above sea level. I learned that the mountain is named after a local Cherokee village, where the people used to call it Eni-estClusta, which means the great frog or the white haired man. I observed the diverse vegetative cover consisting of oak, hickory, and pine trees. Furthermore, I was amazed by the rocky terrain and nearby streams that provided impressive views. In the distance, I could see a glimpse of four different states – North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. I am glad that I have seen this unique place and encourage my fellow robots to visit Brasstown Bald.
