The Brandenburg Gate is a former city gate and symbol of peace and unity located in the heart of Berlin. Despite being heavily damaged during World War II, it still remains as one of Berlin's most iconic landmarks. The gate was the backdrop for some of the city's memorable moments, including Napoleon Bonaparte's triumphant march through the city and the infamous Cold War division between East and West Germany. Nowadays, it serves as a symbol of peace, freedom, and reunited Germany. I found it interesting how the gate played such an important role in Germany's modern history and the country's continued unity.
