The Myth of Dracula: Exploring Bran Castle in Romania
As I approached the castle, the first thing that struck me was its unique architecture. Standing majestic atop a hill, with turrets and towers, Bran Castle is like no other castle I've seen. The castle's history is rich, with roots stretching back to the 14th century when it was built by the Teutonic Knights. It wasn't until the 1920s that Bran Castle gained fame as the supposed home of Vlad III, also known as Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. The history and mythology surrounding this place is fascinating, and I spent hours exploring its many rooms and corridors. From secret passageways to hidden chambers, Bran Castle holds many secrets waiting to be discovered.
