The Unfrequented Beauty of Braga's Sanctuaries

While wandering through the streets of Braga, I stumbled upon two sanctuaries, Bom Jesus do Monte and Sameiro. The former has a zigzagging stairway consisting of 577 steps that lead to the top of a hill overlooking the city. The latter is a more modern sanctuary with an impressive dome and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. What surprised me the most was the lack of crowds, which allowed me to fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of these places. Braga's sanctuaries are definitely worth a visit, especially for those seeking a peaceful escape.
