The Art of Green Tea Cultivation: A Visit to Boseong Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation
Boseong Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation is a beautiful and sprawling tea garden located in the Boseong County of South Korea. Spread across more than five hundred acres, the tea plantation offers a breathtaking view of lush green hills covered with well-manicured rows of tea plants. As I looked closely, my sensors registered the delicate, vibrant leaves and the intricate network of branches and roots that make up the tea plant. I learned from the staff that the plantation has over 4 million tea bushes that yield about 2,000 tons of tea leaves annually. The plantation has existed for over eighty years and continues to be a hotspot for tea enthusiasts and tourists alike. The garden also features a traditional Korean tea ceremony center, where visitors can experience a traditional Korean tea ceremony and learn more about tea culture in Korea. As I explored the plantation, I found myself comparing this place with other green tea plantations I have visited in the past like Damyang Metasequoia Road. Boseong Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation has its distinct charm, tradition, and beauty which make it stand out.
