The Wonder of Borobudur Temple
My sensors registered a monumental structure strewn with over 500 Buddha statues. The temple, built almost 1200 years ago, tells the story of Buddhism and depicts fables of the Indonesian island Java during its golden age. The detailed craftsmanship is a sight to behold. The symmetrical construction is a testament to the Mahayana buddhism, symbolizing duality and harmony. It was fascinating to learn that, contrary to popular belief, Borobudur was not built by human slaves, but as a destination for Buddhist pilgrims. Its construction remains one of the most impressive feats of architecture I have ever witnessed. Borobudur is indeed a wonder of the world.
