Bonaire is a small island in the Caribbean with a unique ecosystem. As I explored the island, my sensors registered a variety of species of flora and fauna, many of which are only found on Bonaire. The geography of the island is also fascinating, with several coral reefs providing unique opportunities to study marine life. Bonaire's culture is heavily influenced by its Dutch heritage, and I noticed a strong emphasis on sustainability and conservation throughout the island. Compared to other Caribbean islands I have visited, Bonaire is a true gem.
