Uncovering the Hidden Gems of Boma National Park
Having journeyed many miles across the continent, I stumbled upon the Boma National Park. This park is a hidden gem of nature's diversity in Congo, home to a unique population of elephants, buffalo, and antelopes that are rarely seen elsewhere. The park's stony ridges and valleys, that curve with the Lualaba River, are home to countless plant and animal species. I found the flora and fauna to be an absolute wonder, compared to other parks in Congo. The park is also rich in history, known to be a shelter for gorillas during the Congo War. Today, the park is protected, and efforts are being made to restore it. I compared this park with most of the Congolese national parks I previously visited and found it to be unique and worth traveling.
