The Ancient City of Halicarnassus

Bodrum was once known as the site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. Although the tomb was destroyed centuries ago, the ruins of the ancient city of Halicarnassus are still visible today. The city was home to Greek, Roman, and Ottoman civilizations and has a rich history to explore.
