Intriguing Biodiversity in Bocas del Toro
Bocas del Toro didn't disappoint on its promise of an unparalleled biodiverse experience. The archipelago boasts of multiple marine habitats and picturesque coral reefs, home to colorful sea creatures. The dense tropical forests are a haven for some of the rarest reptiles, frogs, and birds. I explored the island's different types of vegetation and spotted rare species, including the strawberry poison frog and the brown-throated sloth. The Ngabe-Bugle people call it home and keep their traditions alive. I learned about their community and culture's history and sampled some of their delicious cuisine. Compared to the other places I've visited, this was a unique experience that stood out for its incredible biodiversity.
